As a community-based healthcare system, the health and well-being of our patients, employees, and community is our top priority. We understand the concern and uncertainty you may be experiencing surrounding the coronavirus (COVID-19) and we are committed to being responsive to the needs of our patients and employees as the situation evolves.
COVID-19
First Care is cleaner than ever.
There are two ways to receive a COVID-19 test: scheduling a visit online or walking-in on a first come first serve basis. Walk-ins are accepted until the capacity for the day has been reached. You can call your clinic’s location to check if walk-ins are still being accepted. Please be advised that we have walk-in slots throughout the day and you may receive a walk-in slot for later in the day. You may leave the clinic and return when it is your scheduled time!

What We’re Doing to Keep Our Patients Safe

Strict Sanitization Procedures
First Care’s clinics are cleaned and disinfected in accordance with CDC procedures around the clock.

PPE
All First Care employees are required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment to keep our patients and staff safe and healthy. Sanitization stations are available for patients. We ask that all patients and guests wear a mask (if over the age of 2).

Eliminating Exposure
First Care has clinical protocols to maintain the health and safety of our patients. Certain patients may enter from the side or back entrance of the building to eliminate COVID-19 exposure.
COVID-19 FAQs
The most common symptoms of the COVID-19 are the same as the most common symptoms of the flu, common colds, and pneumonia which include fever, cough, congestion, and shortness of breath. At least 80% of those infected with COVID-19 don’t need medical treatment. Only those with severe symptoms including shortness of breath and difficulty breathing should report to the Emergency Department. All others should quarantine themselves at home.
Washing your hands for at least 20 seconds is considered the best prevention against COVID-19. Use alcohol-based hand sanitizer when soap and water is not available. Clean and disinfect frequently toughed objects and surfaces. Additionally, avoid close contact with those who are sick or appear to be under the weather.
First Care is now offering rapid COVID-19 antigen testing.
We also offer the PCR test if your school or work requires it! Please note that we cannot offer PCR testing for travel (including work travel) or surgery-related requirements, due to the time sensitive nature of these situations.
During the visit, one can expect a screening for symptoms, a triage of your health history, a virtual telemedicine exam with a provider, and a nasal swab for COVID-19. Test results typically 20 minutes from swabbing time. If you wish to be tested, Save Your Spot online with your local clinic.
Saving your spot online is recommended and must be completed by the patient online, as we are unable to schedule visits over the phone. You can do this by choosing your location and clicking, “Save Your Spot”. However, if your preferred time is not available or there are no times to select, we do accept walk-ins 7 days a week on a first-come, first-serve basis.
