Here at First Care, we’re doing everything that we can to make sure that our patients feel safe and comfortable throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. As we approach a full year shaped by lockdowns, quarantining, and social distancing, we know that this continues to be a difficult time for everyone. Our goal at First Care is to keep you feeling happy, healthy, and virus-free so that you can return to normal activities and see family and friends as soon as possible. Keep reading to find out a few of the ways we’re here for you during COVID-19.
Diligent Sanitation Protocols
All First Care Clinics are following strict CDC guidelines and protocols to ensure that our patients’ safety is a priority. Our locations routinely sanitize and disinfect surfaces and equipment to limit the spread of the virus. Sanitization stations are also set up for patients to use when they arrive for testing or an appointment. Our staff is equipped with personal protective equipment to keep guests healthy and we ask that patients wear masks upon arrival. We strive to limit COVID-19 exposure and have clinic protocols in place to do so. Patients can check in online and complete registration forms at home prior to entering the clinic.
Rapid COVID-19 Testing
If you’re experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19, the best thing that you can do is to get tested. The most common symptoms include flu-like symptoms such as fever, cough, shortness of breath, and congestion. Our First Care Clinics offer rapid Antigen testing which involves a nasal swab with results after approximately 20 minutes. Additionally, First Care offers Antibody testing to determine whether a patient has been infected with COVID-19 at any point in the past. To get tested at one of our clinics, we recommend saving your spot online at one of our locations.
Telemedicine Visits Now Available
For those that need medical care but are concerned about coming into the clinic, we offer telemedicine visits so that you can receive care from your home. We have virtual appointment times available Monday through Friday from 8 am – 6 pm and 10 am – 5 pm on the weekends. The average exam time typically lasts only 10-15 minutes and we can treat a variety of illnesses. To get started, find your local clinic and select “Save Your Spot” to reserve an online appointment. You’ll then be prompted to enter your registration information. When your appointment time arrives, you’ll receive a texted link which will connect you to your provider.
