How to Keep Kids Busy on a Snow Day

Once your kids are over the cold, they will need activities to keep them busy inside. While spending snow days making snowmen and snow angels is fun and amusing, the excitement can quickly run out. Next thing you know, your children are constantly repeating, “I’m bored!” because they can’t leave the house. Read these ideas below to avoid this boredom and entertain the whole family!

You can still enjoy the snow without playing outside in it. Spend the day baking snowflake cookies for your neighbors. Deliver the cookies and spend some time visiting and eating delicious cookies with your neighbors! This idea is sure to bring a smile to everyone’s faces.

Get creative with different arts and crafts! Grab some paper and paint or markers and create a winter wonderland. They can use coffee filters to cut snowflakes to decorate the house; it’s like being in the snow, except you can stay warm and cozy while doing it! As the day comes to an end, warm up with hot chocolate, fuzzy socks, cozy blankets and put on a movie. Enjoy your movie with a fun popcorn recipe! Add candy, cookies, pretzels, marshmallows, sprinkles – be creative, have fun with it!
